In 1985, the secular music world came together for Live Aid to help feed the hungry. Will we, as Christians, come together to help our persecuted and poverty-stricken brothers and sisters receive their own copy of God’s Word?
Bible Aid invites Christians across denominational lines and around the world to unite around this need. In this launch video, I explain the initiative and how each of us can help put Scripture into the hands of believers longing to receive it.
Our reason reaches far deeper than a historical example. Jesus Christ gave Himself for us through His righteous life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection for sinners. His love calls us to remember His people and use what He has entrusted to us to serve them.
The video considers ten Scripture passages about serving others, bearing one another’s burdens, and doing good as unto Jesus. It also reflects on William Tyndale, Brother Andrew, and a North Korean believer who accepted great personal costs so others could read Scripture.
You can help by sharing Bible Aid at no cost. No purchase, donation, or registration is required. A conversation, shared link, church announcement, or social media post could help someone discover this opportunity.
You can also purchase a $100 gift card for $5 and redeem its credit for the full collection of 500+ classic Christian ebooks and more, for yourself or as a gift. Half of each $5 purchase—$2.50—is designated for Bible distribution. The remaining half supports the bookstore and outreach to reach more people with the gospel and help more people in need.
If your share helped just one of your brothers or sisters receive a Bible, would that be worth it to you?
