The Christian Experiment goes to the heart of basic Christian living. It makes the expression of one’s faith as easy and as simple as can be—just one social media share on behalf of your persecuted brothers and sisters.
Often, we make the Christian life far more “heroic” than it is. More often than not, it’s about the simple things in life. For example, Jesus said: “For truly, I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ will by no means lose his reward” (Mark 9:41). One cup of water has eternal significance.
Isn’t the same true when you create awareness for a Bible fundraiser on behalf of your persecuted brothers and sisters? According to Jesus, one share on behalf of those who “belong to Christ” will be rewarded.
If one truly believes His words in Mark 9:41, wouldn’t every Christian, church, ministry, Christian organization, and Chrisian media outlet share this Bible fundraiser on behalf of those who “belong to Christ”?
The opposite is not giving a cup of water or not sharing a Bible fundraiser on behalf of those who “belong to Christ.” That’s why The Christian Experiment ends with a definite YES or NO. You either give a cup of water or share a Bible fundraiser or you don’t.
Imagine a famous pastor or Christian leader walking through the grocery store, seeing an elderly lady in an electric wheelchair needing assistance to get an item from the top shelf. And, she wears a nice shirt that testifies of Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life. Instead of helping her, he walks by while favorably commenting on the message on her shirt.
While this famous pastor or Christian leader has done and is doing a lot of good for others, isn’t it uncalled for that he didn’t help her when he could easily and freely do so? Instead, he ignored her request and moved on, ready to do some planned ministry that afternoon, addressing thousands through his daily podcast.
The Christian Experiment is as simple and as easy as can be: create awareness for a Bible fundraiser on behalf of your persecuted brothers and sisters. Some Christians, ministries, and Christian media outlets have over 1,000,000 social media followers. With one share, they can easily help distribute Bibles to their persecuted brothers and sisters.
The main question: will they reject this opportunity to help other Christians, or will they make use of this opportunity to help other Christians? That is what The Christian Experiment is all about, which is basic Christian living.
In all honesty, I believe that most will reject this opportunity. I hope I’m dead wrong, though.
