What if your ministry could be a tremendous blessing to another ministry, bearing their burdens, “and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Gal. 6:2)? Would you do so?
We see such divine grace when Paul wrote:
We want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia, for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own accord, begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints.”2 Corinthians 8:1-4
These Christians begged Paul earnestly in order to be a financial blessing to those in need.
What if your ministry could be the means of such grace by raising funds for another ministry? Will you at least consider and explore that possibility, especially since it doesn’t cost you anything?
Not only will you be a blessing to that ministry, but also through them as they minister the gospel of Jesus Christ.
How much money will you be able to raise?
The ministry of your choice will receive 75% royalty for each sold book.
What if only 10% of your email list and social media followers bought one of the books? What if 25% or even 50% were to do so?
The participants will receive a book that will encourage them in their faith and walk with Jesus and… raise funds for the ministry of your choice. A win-win!
There are reputable ministries that distribute Bibles and discipleship materials to those who are in dire need of God’s word, especially in countries where there’s persecution. Each Bible is $7.00.
How many Bibles will you be able to distribute through such a ministry if 10%, 25%, or even 50% of your email list and social media followers were to participate?
While this kind of fundraising may be somewhat unconventional, perhaps even radical, is it not the essence of the gospel and the fulfilling of “the law of Christ”? Is Jesus’ mission not far greater than your own ministry?
Here’s the good news…
It doesn’t cost you anything and requires no effort on your part. Your participation will be in the spirit of helping others with their catch: “They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them” (Luke 5:7). Without question, every gospel-centered ministry is your partner, sharing God’s good news in word and deed.
Will you use your God-given influence, whether you have a small or large boat, to bless a ministry of your choice? It is certainly a costless (and priceless) opportunity to “do good . . . to those who are of the household of faith” (Gal. 6:10).
Years ago, I heard this story…
An angel allowed average Joe a glimpse into hell. What he saw was not what he had expected. There was an endless huge table with all kinds of delicious food, everything one can possibly crave.
There was just one major problem: the ones at the table couldn’t bend their arms—they couldn’t get the food from the table to their mouth. A horrendous sight as everyone starved.
He was also allowed a glimpse into heaven and was shocked by what he saw. There was a similar table with the same food. What was even more shocking… the ones at the table had the same problem. They couldn’t bend their arms.
Nevertheless, there was great joy and satisfaction. Why? They would scoop the food on their fork or spoon and turn their stretched out arm to either the left or the right person, enabling them to eat and be satisfied.
Will you use your “fork” and “spoon” to help another ministry of your choice? The “food” is free!

P.S. since it doesn’t cost you anything at all and requires no effort on your part, would it be a moral crime to not help those in need when you have a costless (and priceless) opportunity to do so?
