What if your church or ministry could be a tremendous blessing to the persecuted church, bearing their burdens “and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Gal. 6:2)? Would you do so, especially if there’s no cost or effort on your part?
When it comes to helping other believers, especially those in need, we see God’s grace when Paul wrote:
We want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia, for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own accord, begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints.
2 Corinthians 8:1-4
These Christians begged Paul earnestly in order to help those in need.
How many Bibles?
What if you could help the persecuted church with one social media share?
Would you do so?
When you share this fundraiser, you are a catalyst for the distribution of God’s word.
For example, each sold book deal will provide one Bible.
What if 10% of your email list and social media followers bought one book deal? How many Bibles will you and your audience be able to distribute?
It doesn’t cost you anything and requires no effort on your part. Just one share with your audience, creating awareness “and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Needless to say, anything done in the name of Christ will be more than worth it: “For truly, I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ will by no means lose his reward” (Mark 9:41). The smallest “effort” in helping your persecuted brothers and sisters isn’t without divine notice and reward.
Years ago, I heard this story…
An angel allowed average Joe a glimpse into hell. What he saw was not what he had expected. There was an endless table with all kinds of delicious food, everything one can possibly crave.
There was just one major problem: the ones at the table couldn’t bend their arms—they couldn’t get the food from the table to their mouth. A horrendous sight as everyone starved.
He was also allowed a glimpse into heaven and was shocked by what he saw. There was a similar table with the same food. What was even more shocking… the ones at the table had the same problem. They couldn’t bend their arms.
Nevertheless, there was great joy and satisfaction. Why? They would scoop the food on their fork or spoon and turn their stretched-out arm to either the left or the right person, enabling them to eat and be satisfied.
Will you use your “fork” and “spoon” to help the persecuted church, “and so fulfill the law of Christ”? It doesn’t cost you anything and is quite simple.
Share with your audience…
You can use the following when you share this fundraiser or edit it any way you would like. Just choose a book deal that you know will be a blessing and share that book deal with your audience. For example…
As a ministry, we want to be a blessing to the persecuted church. We are partnering with The Cause of Christ and Christ-Centered Books in order to help distribute God’s word to those who don’t have a Bible. When you purchase this book deal, you’ll provide one Bible to someone who’s persecuted for his or her faith.
You can also share the general link: www.helpthepersecutedchurch.com.
Whether you share a book deal or the general link, you are creating awareness and, as a result, greater potential for the distribution of Bibles to those who don’t have personal access to God’s word.
Will you do so?
In Christ Alone,
Mr. Jan Blonk
