The Christian Experiment is about one simple question: If you could easily and freely help your brothers and sisters in Christ, would you do so? In other words, if you could have a greater impact – reach and help more people – would you be willing to do so? If not, why not? Here’s an overview of how The Christian Experiment will be conducted.
After much going back and forth, The Christian Experiment will be primarily conducted by way of open letters, appealing to Christians, churches, ministries, Christian organizations, and Christian media outlets to help distribute Bibles to our persecuted brothers and sisters. This help consists of creating awareness through one’s God-given influence.
Initially, I was planning to do so by way of phone calls and emails, which is a more direct way of communication. In considering the legal rules and regulations when it comes to sharing the content of private phone calls and emails, though, it seemed better to do so through open letters. While the nature of an open letter is public awareness, the recipient will be notified so that he or she is made aware of it. These open letters are done by way of video messages.
You may ask, is it fair to put someone on the spot like this, making them part of the experiment without having first asked for their participation? To me, it’s all about one’s perspective. If you just witnessed a devastating car crash and didn’t have your phone with you, would it be right or wrong to run to a nearby business and “put them on the spot” by asking them to call 911, which gives them two options?
The data points
The Christian Experiment will have two data points: a favorable response, which is expressed by way of creating awareness of a Bible fundraiser for one’s persecuted brothers and sisters through one’s God-given influence, and a non-favorable response, which is expressed by way of not being willing to create awareness of a Bible fundraiser for one’s persecuted brothers and sisters through one’s God-given influence. If the non-favorable response includes a reason, the reason will be stated as part of the data.
The data from this experiment is ultimately not related to how many Bibles will be distributed, even though that’s the main goal. Rather, it’s to find out how many of those who’ve received an open letter are willing to use their God-given influence to help distribute God’s word, especially since there’s no cost or effort on their part whatsoever.
The data will include the number of their social media followers and how many Bibles would be distributed if only one percent were to participate. While this number won’t be an accurate reflection of the responses and can’t be verified, it will give some indication of how much could be possible versus the number of Bibles that have been distributed.
Lastly…
Why do this experiment? “Why not!” is my response. If a Christian, church, ministry, Christian organization, or Christian media outlet could reach and help more people – without any cost or effort on their part – why would one not be willing to do so? That is what The Christian Experiment is all about.

P.S. If you’re a recipient of one of my video messages, I’ll be more than happy to give you monthly proof that 50% of each purchase goes toward the distribution of Bibles to our persecuted brothers and sisters. Or, if you’re an affiliate, we can have a Zoom meeting while I make the payment for the number of Bibles you’ve helped distribute.
