The Background of The Christian Experiment finds its roots in the former AmazonSmile.
In 2013, Amazon launch it’s nonprofit program called AmazonSmile. Any nonprofit could register and receive 0.5% of all qualifying purchases made by those who had selected their nonprofit as the recipient of the funds.
When Amazon eliminated its Smile in 2023, they had given about $450,000,000 to these nonprofits.
That was 100% free money!
There was no cost in registering for AmazonSmile, and there was no cost in selecting a nonprofit as the recipient of the 0.5 percent.
A Few What Ifs…
What if no Christian nonprofit had registered with AmazonSmile? Collectively, they would’ve missed out on millions and millions of dollars.
What if no Christian had selected their preferred nonprofit? The free money on Amazon’s table would’ve remained on their table.
On the other hand, what if more Christians had selected their preferred Christian nonprofit? That would’ve easily increased the amount of $450,000,000 that Amazon gave to their registered nonprofits.
